Homecoming is a collaboration between Chrisie Nimenko and Haru Sameshima. The photocollage was created by Chrisie Nimenko during her last year at Elam School of Fine Art in 1989. Haru's photograph of the landscape in Otago, was used as the backdrop and it was also painted by New Zealand artist Robin White (B.1946). Homecoming was also inspired by White's series of pop art style paintings from the 1970's with the iconic "Buzzy Bee" flying amongst New Zealand landscapes. Homecoming captures a moment in time that takes us right back to our own memories of our own childhood in New Zealand.
Homecoming is available as a giclee print edition of 10, on smooth fine art paper 300gsm, hand finished with red and yellow metal leaf.
